Group Exercise Classes

  • All group exercise classes are taught by certified and experienced instructors. Classes will be scheduled throughout the day for your convenience. You won't find better variety or more effective classes anywhere in Jackson!
  • All classes are included in membership dues, with the exception of specialty workshops.
  • Bell Fitness group exercise is designed for members to work at their own pace; listen to your body and stay at a comfortable pace. Always consult your physician before starting a new exercise program.

Hooyah! A military-style athletic action class that is a GREAT pre-cursor for the rigors of Ski Fitness (coming in November). Our instructor, Geanie, learned this awesome format at the IDEA convention this summer...sure to be a bustin class, full of strength, agility and cardio endurance.

Master Class

Capoeira is a rhythmic, almost dance like form of dance/martial arts that originated with the slave population of Brazil. Combine Capoeira with kickboxing, and you get an aerobic workout like no other!

Kung Fu

The traditional principles of Shoa Lin Kung Fu will be introduced in such a manner that Westerners will be able to assimilate the techniques in an effective, comprehensive way. This is a very traditional artform and it will be taught as such. The practice will entail basic exercises, stretching techniques and the forms encompassed in the Wu Don practice of Shao Lin, as well as the incorporation of the meridian points recognized extensively in Kung Fu. There is no prior martial arts experience required and the class is cumulative.

The Tai Chi Chuan art form is an integral part of Kung Fu. The style taught here is Da Xai, or "big form". This is rich in ancient Chinese philosophy and is unfamiliar to most Westerners who often do not see this ancient form in practice. The profiles of direction, meridians and physical power are introduced. All ages are encouraged to participate.
